Betty Lou Thompson

Ms. Betty Lou Thompson, age 63, of Macclenny, FL passed away Sunday, January 15, at the Ed Fraser Memorial Hospital, Macclenny, FL. Ms. Thompson was born in Waycross, GA and lived in Charlton County, GA for many years before moving to Baker County, FL fifteen years ago. She was a medical assistant at Ed Fraser Memorial Hospital for many years and loved Facebook, fishing and going to the beach. Ms. Thompson is preceded in death by her parents, Cleaon and Josephine Batten Thompson, her late husband, Billy Burnsed, and sister, Shirlee Karobeinick. She is survived by, two daughters, Pinine Cohen (Max) of Glen St. Mary, FL and Melissa Rose Sikes Roach (James) of Folkston, GA: two step sons, Danny Stokes, Jr. of Macclenny, FL and Russell Scott Morrow (Amanda) of Louisiana: three brothers, Dewey Steverson (Bridgett) of Monticello, GA, Eugene Steverson (Flora) of Bell, FL and Ronald Serrano (Betty) of Georgia: one sister, Linda Gail Boyd of Houston, TX. Fourteen grandchildren and two great grandchildren also survive. A memorial service to honor the life of Ms. Thompson will be held at 4 P.M., Thursday, January 19 in the Chapel of Guerry Funeral Home, U.S. 90 E., Macclenny, FL, with Chaplain Karl Hall officiating.
