Mrs. Blanche Dinkins Long, age 90, of Providence , Florida died Thursday, Sept. 15, in the Suwannee Valley Care Center, Lake City, Florida following a long illness. Mrs. Long was born in Taylor, Florida and made her home in Sanderson, Florida for over 70 years before moving to Providence, Florida 10 years ago. She was a homemaker and enjoyed farming with her husband and being a mother, homemaker and grandmother. She was preceded in death by her husband, Tom Jackson “Jack” Long and her parents, Leon and Marvin Taylor Dinkins. She is survived by her six children, Wyndell W. (Peggy) Long of Sanderson, Florida, Diane (Gabby) Crews of Baldwin, Florida, Danny (Joan) Long and Joanne (Macky) McDuffie both of Macclenny, Florida, Thomas (Lynn) Long of Providence, Florida and Terry Long of Glen St. Mary, Florida: Two brothers, Robert Dinkins and Nathaniel Dinkins both of Glen St. Mary, Florida: many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren also survive. A funeral service to honor the life of Mrs. Long will be held at 11 A.M. Monday, Sept. 19, in the Macclenny Church of God with Rev. Johnny Wayne Anderson, Pastor of the Baldwin Church of God, officiating and assisted by Rev. Bert Hutson, Pastor of the Baldwin Assembly of God Church. Interment will be in Cedar Creek Cemetery, Sanderson, Florida. Visitation and gathering with the family will be from 4 to 6 P.M.
