Carol Waynell Vileta

Mrs. Carol Waynell Vileta, age 75, of Samson, Alabama  died Saturday, Sept. 3, in Flowers Hospital, Dothan, Alabama following an extended illness.  She was a native of Samson, Alabama  and had lived in Wellborn, Florida and Clermont, Florida before moving back to Samson, Alabama almost 2 years ago.  She was a homemaker and enjoyed doing  genealogy work and reading in her spare time.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Jackson Sherman and Katie Leverette Divine.  She is survived by her husband,  Daniel R. Vileta of Samson, Alabama:  Her daughter, Andie Deck of Fort White, Florida:  Her son,  Matthew (Wendy) Deck  of Ramseur, North Carolina:  Two step-sons, Jeff  Vileta  of Washington and Randy Vileta of Texas:  Two sisters, Virginia Frazier and Alice Faye (Jerry) McDaniel both of Clermont, Florida:  Seven grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.  Graveside funeral services will be conducted at 2:30 P.M. Thursday, Sept. 8, in the Wellborn Cemetery, Wellborn, Florida with Mr. Dane Taylor, her grandson, giving a eulogy. Visitation and gathering with the family will be from 1 to 2 P.M. Thursday at the funeral home. GUERRY FUNERAL HOME, 2659 S.W. Main Blvd., Lake City, Florida is in charge of arrangements.
