Charles Wayne Waters

Mr. Charles Wayne Waters, age 72, of Macclenny, Florida died at his home on Wednesday, Feb. 15, following a brief illness. He was born in Starke, Florida and lived in Jacksonville, Florida before moving to Macclenny, Florida in 1988. He worked as a store manager for Pic & Save Stores in Jacksonville, Florida and then worked at a stock clerk for Wal-Mart, Macclenny, Florida before his retirement. He enjoyed going on cruises, road trips with his family, reading books, NASCAR and football. He was preceded in death by his parents, Herschel Eugene and Edith Thomas Waters, his aunt, Daisy Thomas and a brother, John Waters. He is survived by his daughter, Heather Waters of Jacksonville, Florida: His son, Jason Waters, of Jacksonville, Florida: Two grandchildren, Alexis Waters and Garrison Waters; Three brothers, Rudy Waters of Sanderson, Florida, Gene Waters of Macclenny, Florida and J.D. Waters of New River, Fla. A memorial service to honor the life of Mr. Waters will be held at 5 P.M. Friday, Feb. 24, in the Chapel of Guerry Funeral Home, Macclenny, Florida. Visitation and gathering with the family will be from 4 to 5 P.M. Friday (One hour before services). Private interment will be held at a later date. GUERRY FUNERAL HOME, U.S. 90, Macclenny, Florida is in charge of arrangements.
