Georgianna "Janet" Lou Davis

Mrs. Georgianna ”Janet” Lou Davis, 72, of Lake City, passed away Friday morning, January 6, 2017 at her residence after a sudden illness. She was born in New York, NY on June 27, 1944 to the late James and Louise Watson Heintz. She has lived in Lake City most of her life and was a homemaker. She loved her family and was known as quite a spitfire. She also had a big heart and was willing to help anyone when she could, she also loved to fish. She was of the Catholic faith. She is preceded in death by her daughter: Georgianna Ruby Davis; sister: Nancy Perez; brother: Jimmy Heintz and granddaughter: Sarah Marissa Davis.

She is survived by her loving husband of 50 years: Noah Davis, Sr. of Lake City; sons: Noah Davis, III of White Springs and Chris Davis of Lake City; daughters: Darleen (Nathan) Gist of Jennings and Robin (John) Blanchard of Lake City; brothers: George Heintz and Steven Heintz; sisters: Patricia Hunt of Lake City, Susan Czumak of Sarasota and Marilyn Brennan of Las Vegas, NV; grandchildren: Jerome (Kasey) Lucas, Ashley Lucas, LeighAnn Gist, Walter Gist, III, Austin Davis, Chris Davis, Jr., Victoria Davis, Dakota Davis, Rebecca Davis, Gregory Lambert, Kiara Davis, Cynthia Guerry, Kaleb Davis and Natalie Lee; great-grandchildren: Kaleigh Johns, Braxton Lucas, Grayson Davis, Czarrah Sorio, Tatum Davis and 4 more little ones on the way. She is also survived by her four legged fur baby Batman along with numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Funeral services for Mrs. Davis will be conducted on Tuesday, January 10, 2017 at 11 A.M. in the chapel of Guerry Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Corinth Cemetery (Hwy 441 North). The family will receive friends from 5-7 P.M. on Monday, January 9, 2017 at the funeral home. Arrangements are under the direction and care of Guerry Funeral Home, 2659 SW Main Blvd., Lake City, 32025.
