Hilda Annetta Margain

Mrs. Hilda Annetta Margain, age 91, of Macclenny, Florida died Sunday, Feb. 26, at her residence following a brief illness.  She was born in Echols County, GA on her grandfather’s farm.  Prior to moving to Macclenny in 1975, Hilda resided in Taveres, FL; Los Angeles, CA; and Jacksonville, FL.  Hilda worked in fashion and merchandizing at Furchgotts Department Store and was an employee at Paul’s Rexall Pharmacy in Macclenny, Florida. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of L.D.S. Macclenny Ward, enjoyed gardening, spending time with family, watching musicals and listening to Glenn Miller records. 

Mrs. Margain is preceded in death by her parents, Bennie Omer Holton  and Sarah Esther Tomlinson Holton, brother, Bennie Wilbur Holton, sisters, Hazel Holton Gowers and Bonnie Holton Daughtry and sons, Craig K. Margain and Christopher N. Margain. She is survived by her daughters, Paula Margain Burnett of Macclenny, Florida and Patricia Margain of Fernandina Beach, Florida:  Ten grandchildren and five great-grandchildren also survive. 

A funeral service to honor the life of Mrs. Margain will be held at 11 A.M. Saturday, March 4 in the Chapel of Guerry Funeral Home with Bishop Joe Breazeale of the Church of Jesus Christ of L.D.S. officiating.  A visitation and gathering with the family will be from 10 to 11 A.M.
