Mrs. Janice Miller, age 81, of Glen St. Mary, Florida passed away on Thursday, Jan. 19, in Memorial Hospital, Jacksonville, Florida. She was born in Crystal Springs, Mississippi and had resided in Jacksonville, Florida before moving to Glen St. Mary, Florida in 1978. She graduated from Landon High School, Jacksonville, Florida, attended Montreat College, Montreat , N.C. and graduated from Jones Business College, Jacksonville, Florida. She worked as a secretary in the Trust Dept. of the Florida National Bank, owned a School of Dance where she taught ballet, taps and acrobatics, was a teacher’s aide at Lonestar Elementary and a media clerk at Merrill Road Elementary. She was a secretary in various areas at Northeast Florida State Hospital, Macclenny, Florida until her retirement in 1996. She was a faithful member of the Macclenny Primitive Baptist Church and will be remembered for her love, devotion and generosity to family, church and friends. She was the only child of James and Rosemonde Blackburn, born on June 15, 1935. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Charles Elliott Miller of 54 years, on November 26, 2010. She is survived by her daughter, Laura Miller of Glen St. Mary, Florida and her son, Clifford (Deborah) Miller of Jacksonville, Florida: Two granddaughters, Erin and Sarah Miller all of Jacksonville, Florida. A funeral service to honor the life of Mrs. Miller will be held at 2 P.M. Monday, Jan. 23, in the Macclenny Primitive Baptist Church with Elder David Crawford, Pastor, officiating. Interment will be in Oak Grove Cemetery, Baker County, Florida. Visitation and gathering with the family will be from 1 to 2 P.M. (One hour before services) at the church. GUERRY FUNERAL HOME, U.
