Joseph Auther Anderson Jr.

Mr. Joseph “Joe” Auther Anderson, II, age 65, of St. George, Georgia die Sunday, Jan. 5, at his home following an extended illness.  He was born in Jacksonville, Florida and had resided in the Georgia bend near St. George, Georgia for the past 25 years. He was part owner of Southeastern Coating of Lake City, Florida for 16 years until his death. He was a member of the Raiford Road Church, Macclenny, Florida and loved fishing, camping and going on mission trips with his church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl Alton and Alve Broxton Anderson, Sr. and three siblings, Carl Alton Anderson, Jr., Elva Carlene Anderson and Harry David Anderson. He is survived by his wife, Sherrie Anderson of St. George, Georgia: Three sisters, Betty Hopson, Linda Robson and Sandra Johnson all of Jacksonville, Florida: Five grandchildren: Two nephews, Davie Anderson and Jay Anderson also survive. A funeral service to honor the life of Mr. Anderson will be held at 11 A.M. Tuesday, Jan. 8, in the Raiford Road Church with Rev. Johnnie Raulerson officiating and assisted by Rev. Eddie Griffis and Rev. Linda Robson.  Graveside service will be at 2 P.M. Tuesday in Pineview Cemetery, Folkston, Georgia. Visitation and gathering will the family will be from 10 to 11 A.M.
