Mrs. Lillian Johns Norman, age 76, of Statesville, North Carolina passed away Saturday, May 27, at her residence. She was born in Olustee, Florida on August 20, 1940 to the late Jesse Ray and Mildred Hodges Johns. Mrs. Norman attended Olustee schools and received her EMT degree and CORT Degree (Certified Operating Room Technician). She was married to Michael J. Norman who preceded her in death. She worked at Davis Regional Hospital and retired from Iredell Hospital after 30 years of service. She was also preceded in death by six siblings. Left to cherish her memory are three daughters, Dianne Harrington (Richard), Karen Sampsel (Herbert) and Susan Martin: Six grandchildren, Jesse Charles (Rachelle), Capt. David Charles USMC (Ashely), Shea Harrington, Kyle Harrington, Kaleb Fulbright and Victoria Grace Martin: Six great-grandchildren, Summer Fulbright, Kaelyn Charles, Maylee Charles, Grayson Charles, Ayla Charles and Reese Charles: Two sisters, Ruth Haspel and Billie Griffis also survive. A Visitation will be held Tuesday evening, May 30, in the Nicholson Funeral Home Chapel, Statesville, N.C. from 6 to 8 P.M. A graveside service will be held at 2 P.M.
