Roy H "Bubba" Harvey, Jr.

Mr. Roy H. “Bubba” Harvey, Jr., age 65, of Sanderson, Florida died Friday, June 10, in the Morris Center, Jacksonville, Florida following an extended illness.  He was born in Sanderson, Florida and moved to Middleburg and Jacksonville, Florida before moving back to Sanderson, Florida  in 1995.  He worked as a service technician with A.T. & T Bell South  in Jacksonville, Middleburg and Lake City, Florida for over 35 years until his retirement in 2010. He attended the Christian Fellowship Temple, Macclenny, Florida, enjoyed fishing and gardening and loved the Florida Gators and the St. Louis Cardinals sporting teams.  He was a member of the C.W.A. Union of Jacksonville, Florida. He was the son of the late Roy H. Harvey, Sr. and Gracie Davis Harvey.  He is survived by his son, Roy Branden Harvey of Sanderson, Florida:  his daughter, Ann Marie Harvey (James) Misora of Jacksonville, Florida:  Five siblings, Rita (Richard) Menter of Jacksonville, Florida, Ricky (Patty) Harvey, Belle Haines and Barbara (Gary) Arzie all of Sanderson, Florida and Bonnie Mathis of Macclenny, Florida: his “Woman” Wanda Fife “Flossy” of Sanderson, Florida:  11 nieces and nephews and many other closely loved family and friends.  A funeral service to honor the life of Mr. Harvey will be held at 11 A.M. Monday, June 13, in the Christian Fellowship Temple with Rev. David Thomas and Rev. Tim Thomas officiating. Visitation and gathering with the family will be from 10 to 11 A.M. Monday (One hour before services) at the church. Final disposition will be by cremation. GUERRY FUNERAL HOME,  U.S. 90 East, Macclenny, Florida is in charge of arrangements.
