Mrs. Sallie Nolan Padgett, age 82, of Maxville, Florida died Friday, July 15, at her daughter’s home in Macclenny, Florida following an extended illness. She had resided in the Maxville community all of her life. She was a homemaker and member of the First Baptist Church, Macclenny, Florida and enjoyed gardening and her plants. She was preceded in death by her parents, Dollie and Sadie Carter Nolan and her late husband, Calvin Padgett. She is survived by her son, Robert Johnny (Cindy) Smith of Jacksonville, Florida: Nine daughters, Kathy (Cherill) Mobley and Joyce (Gary) Nix both of Macclenny, Florida, Peggy Sue Mathews and Janie Herrin both of Jacksonville, Florida, Sally (Arnold) Doyle, Rose (Bill) Lee and Elizabeth Bennett all of Middleburg, Florida, Grace (Roy) Bourg of Cedartown, Georgia and Cynthia (Ernesto) Cabato of Yuma, Arizona: 22 grandchildren, 40 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren also survive. A funeral service to honor the life of Mrs. Padgett will be held at 11 A.M. Monday, July 18, in the Chapel of Guerry Funeral Home with Elder Robert A. “Bobbie” Padgett of the Macclenny Ward of the Church of Jesus Christ officiating and assisted by Pastor Freddie Griffis of the Nolan Ridge Church. Interment will be in Nolan Ridge Cemetery, Clay County, Florida. Visitation and gathering with the family will be from 10 to 11 A.M.
