Mrs. Virgie Marlene O’Cain, age 81, of Wellborn, Florida died Monday, Oct. 10, in the Avalon Healthcare & Rehab Center, Lake City, Florida following a long illness. She was born in Bell, Florida and had resided in Wellborn, Florida for the past 43 years. She worked as a licensed practical nurse for over 25 years with Dr. J.I. Benefield of Lake City, Florida. She was a member of Wellborn Baptist Church, a former member of the American Legion Women’s Auxiliary and enjoyed square dancing and bowling. She was preceded in death by her parents, Fate Earls and Elmina Waston and her late husband, Raymond Franklin O’Cain. She is survived by her three daughters, Bobbi (Tim) O’Dell of Lincoln, Alabama, Terri (Albert) Bullard of Lake City, Florida and Kelly (Tim) Adkins of Panama City, Florida: One brother, Sherman Earls of Lake City, Florida: Seven grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews also survive. A funeral service to honor the life of Mrs. O’Cain will be held at 10 A.M Friday, Oct. 14, in the Chapel of Guerry Funeral Home with Deacon Dwight Law of the Fellowship Baptist Church officiating. Interment will be in Wellborn Cemetery, Wellborn, Florida. Visitation and gathering with the family will be from 5 to 7 P. M. Thursday, Oct. 13, at GUERRY FUNERAL HOME, 2659 S.W.
