William "Hank" Henry Burnsed

Mr. William Henry “Hank” Burnsed, age 60, of Glen St. Mary, Florida died Sunday, Sept. 11, in the Mayo Clinic, Jacksonville, Florida after an extended illness.   He was born in Jacksonville, Florida and lived all of his life in Glen St. Mary, Florida. At the time of death he was employed as safety director for Canam Steel Corp., Jacksonville, Florida. He previously worked for over 40 years in the iron working business with North Florida Erection, Inc., Jacksonville, Florida.  He attended the Baxter Church of God, was a high honor graduate in the Class of 1974 Baker County High School and a member of the Travelers Rest Hunting Club.  He was a loving son, husband, father and grandpa. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, William Henry and Bernice Combs Crawford and Lester and Dollie Mae Burnsed and beloved aunt, Toni Burnsed.  He is survived by wife of 40 years, Faye Burnsed of Glen St. Mary, Florida:  Two sons, William Lester Burnsed and Damien J. Burnsed both of Glen St. Mary, Florida: His parents, J.L. and Annie Ruth Burnsed of Glen St. Mary, Florida: Three granddaughters, Alyssa Faye, Alayna Nichole and Karma Elaine Burnsed:  One sister, Terri Smiley of Homerville, Georgia:  several nieces, nephews and other family members.  A funeral service to honor the life of Mr. Burnsed will be held at 1 P.M. Wednesday, Sept.  14, in The Taylor Church, Taylor Florida with Rev.  Buddy Lanier, Rev. Jim Cox and Rev. David Thomas officiating.  Interment will be in North Prong Cemetery, Baker County, Florida.  Visitation and gathering with the family will be from 5 to 8 P.M. Tuesday, Sept. 13,at The Taylor Church.
