Beverly Gayle Mann

Ms. Beverly Gayle Mann, age 70 of Macclenny, Florida passed away Wednesday, December 12 in the St. Vincent’s Medical Center, Jacksonville, Florida after a long illness. Ms. Mann was born in Valdosta, Georgia to the late Malcolm B. and Jessie Mae Hightower Horne. She lived in Ft. Worth, Texas for several years but spend most of her life in Macclenny, Florida. Ms. Mann was a homemaker who loved her family, talking on the phone, the Florida Gators and music by George Jones. She is preceded in death by her parents, one son, Dread William “Billy” Mattox and three siblings, Jackie and Joyce Horne and Diane Monds. Ms. Mann is survived by one son, Stephen A. Mattox of Ft. Worth, Texas: one daughter in law, Misty Phelps of Lake City, Florida and three grandchildren, Darius Fernandez-Morris of Nashville, Tennessee, Christopher Mattox of Macclenny, Florida and Shayla Smith of Lake City, Florida. Funeral services to honor the life of Ms. Mann will be held at 5 P.M., Thursday, December 20 in the Chapel of Guerry Funeral Home, Macclenny, Florida. Visitation and gathering with the family will be from 4 to 5 P.M. (one hour before services) at the funeral home. Guerry Funeral Home, U.S. 90 E., Macclenny, Florida is in charge of arrangements.
