Branda Ashlan Jarvis

Miss Branda Ashlan Jarvis, age 21, of Glen St. Mary, Florida passed away Saturday, September 30. Branda was born in Jacksonville, Florida and was a lifelong resident of Baker County, Florida. She was a graduating member of the Baker County High School Class of 2014 and played softball for the Baker County Wildcats. Branda was enrolled in Nursing School at Florida Gateway College, Lake City, Florida and worked as a medical assistant for Jacksonville Dermatology Associates and a CNA at Baptist Hospital. She was a member of Macclenny Primitive Baptist Church. All those who had the opportunity to meet Branda were undoubtedly blessed to have known her. Her beautiful smile and infectious laugh could brighten any day. Her love for her family and friends was unwavering. Branda is preceded in death by her paternal grandmother, Sharon Jarvis and maternal grandfather Carl Rewis.  She is survived by her parents, Richard and Karen Jarvis of Glen St. Mary, Florida: paternal grandfather, Mike Jarvis: maternal grandmother, Beulah Rewis: uncles and aunts, Ricky (Keri) Jarvis, Tom (Amanda) Rewis, David (Peggy) Rewis, Harvey Rewis, Carla Davis, Cathy (David) Bennett, Patty (Kenny) Key and Terry (Nanette) Rewis. Numerous cousins and dear friends also survive.

Branda was the recipient of Baker County Rotary Club scholarship in 2014. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Baker County Rotary Club Branda Jarvis Scholarship Fund at First Federal Bank.

Funeral services to honor the life of Branda will be held at 11 A.M., Wednesday, October 4 at Raiford Road Church, Macclenny, Florida with Elder David Crawford, Pastor of Macclenny Primitive Baptist Church, officiating. Visitation and gathering with the family will be held from 6 to 8 P.M., Tuesday, October 3 at Raiford Road Church. Interment will follow services at Macedonia Cemetery.
