Brenda Jean Harvey

Ms. Brenda Jean Harvey, age 57, of St. George, GA passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 2, at her home. Ms. Harvey was born on March 13, 1960 in Macclenny, FL to the late John Harvey and Shirley Crites Harvey. Brenda was a beautiful person inside and out. She loved and led a simple life. She was a loving and caring mother, grandmother, daughter, and sister. She loved her family with all of her heart. Brenda was a very giving person with a heart of gold. She was an excellent cook, loved to garden, fish and be outdoors. She was loved by all that knew her and will forever be missed. Brenda is preceded in death by her father, John Harvey. She is survived by her mother, Shirley Harvey of Macclenny, FL: the father of her children, Marvin Barnes of Glen St. Mary, FL: three daughters, Kayona (Dan) Hoard of Macclenny, FL, Casey (Josh) Jarrell of Glen St. Mary, and Megan Greenfield of St. Augustine, FL: six grandchildren, Joshua Gill, Daniel Hoard and Davis Hoard, all of Macclenny, FL, Emaleigh Raulerson, Jaylin Jarrell and Jayden Jarrell, all of Glen St. Mary, FL: her loving companion of five years, Kendall “Dale” Carter, of St. George, GA: seven sisters and five brothers, John (Brenda) Harvey of Glen St. Mary, FL, Linda (Larry) Dumas of Glen St. Mary, FL, Richard Harvey of Apopka, FL, Ronald (Jeri) Harvey of St. George, GA, Sherrie (Michael) Anderson of Macclenny, FL, Merri (Andy) Craig of Macclenny, FL, Kathy (Clyde) Goff of St. George, GA, Patricia (Greg) Selph of Jacksonville, FL, Victor (Chris) Harvey of Macclenny, FL, Donnie (Bonnie) Harvey of Macclenny, FL, Connie (Brad) Craig of Macclenny, FL, and Loretta (Edgardo) Diaz of Jacksonville, FL. Thirty-one nieces and nephews and forty-one great nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services to honor the life of Ms. Harvey will be held at 1 P.M., Monday, May 8, in the Chapel of Guerry Funeral Home, Macclenny, Fl with Rev. Daryel Crites officiating. Visitation and gathering with the family will be from 11 to 1 P.M. (two hours before services). Interment will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery.
