Mrs. Dian Boyce Mackie, age 68, of Glen St. Mary, Florida died Wednesday, March 20, in the St. Vincent’s Medical Center, Jacksonville, Florida following an extended illness. She was born in Piedmont, Alabama and resided in Orlando, Florida for over fifty years before moving to Glen St. Mary, Florida in 2015. She worked as a data analysist with CHEP, Inc. for many years and then received her CNA certificate in health care after moving to Glen St. Mary. She was a member of the Glen Baptist Church, Glen St. Mary, Florida and loved working with her hands renovating older items. She was preceded in death by her parents, Wesley and Jeanette Borders Boals. She is survived by her husband, Bruce R. Mackie of Glen St. Mary, Florida; Two daughters, Jamie (Dwayne) Johnson, Sr. of Jacksonville, Florida and Shaina (Michael) Melville of Waltham, Massachusetts; One son, Jordan (Danielle) Mackie of Nashua, New Hampshire: One sister, Brenda Borders of Orlando, Florida: Six grandchildren, Tyler Boyce, Katlynn Johnson, Dwayne Johnson, Jr., Casey Boyce, Xavier Canfield and Jacob Mackie. A memorial service for Mrs. Mackie will be held on Saturday, May 4, at 1 P.M. in the Glen Baptist Church, Glen St. Mary, Florida with Rev. Chas Rowland, Pastor, officiating. A reception with food and fellowship will follow the service in the fellowship hall of the church. Please RSVP to Jamie at 904-424-0197.
