Mrs. Frances Faye Gilmore, age 84 of Macclenny, FL passed away Tuesday, May 14 at her home following a prolonged illness. Mrs. Gilmore was born in Jacksonville, FL to the late Carlos Eugene and Nora Reynolds Johns. She resided in Jacksonville, FL for 59 years and moved to Baker County, FL in 1993. Mrs. Gilmore was a very kind and generous woman. She loved to cook and spend time with her children and grandchildren. Mrs. Gilmore was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, Macclenny, FL and was very active with church activities. She is preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Coleen O’Steen. Mrs. Gilmore is survived by her loving husband, Leslie William Gilmore: one son, Timothy Wayne Acosta (Dianna) of Land O’ Lakes, FL: one daughter, Catherine Ballard (Marty) of Macclenny, FL: three grandchildren, Victoria Grace Gaskin (Daniel) of Jacksonville, FL, Clinton Dean Acosta (Keri) of Jacksonville, FL and Amanda Catherine Ballard of Macclenny, FL. Three great grandchildren, Maximus Wayne Dokendorf, Danica Faye Gaskin and Penelope Mier, also survive. Funeral services to honor the life of Mrs. Gilmore will be held Friday, May 17 at 10 A.M. in the Calvary Baptist Church with Pastor John Orberg officiating. Visitation and gathering with the family will be from 6 to 8 P.M., Thursday, May 16 in the Chapel of Guerry Funeral Home. Interment will be held at 12 P.M, in the Riverside Memorial Park Cemetery, Jacksonville, FL after the funeral services.
