Ms. Gracie Mae Rhoden, age 92 of Glen St. Mary, FL passed away Thursday, January 18 in the Frank Wells Nursing Home, Macclenny, FL following an extended illness. Ms. Rhoden was born in Starke, FL to the late Willie and Ora Register Griffis but lived most of her life in Baker County, FL. Ms. Rhoden worked in the dietary department of North East Florida State Hospital, Macclenny, FL and retired from there after 20 years of employment. She was a member of Mt. Zion New Congregational Church and enjoyed baking and cooking. Ms. Rhoden is preceded in death by her late husband, Millard Rhoden. She is survived by her daughter, Regina (Charles Jack) Reneau of Glen St. Mary, FL: one brother, Doyle Griffis of Glen St. Mary, FL: one sister, Zelma Griffis Story of St. Augustine, FL: three grandchildren, Adam (Dianna) Reneau, Kyle Reneau and Gary (Erin) Reneau. Eight grandchildren, Tyler, Amber, Ethan, Eian, Grady, Karson, Jainee and Knox also survive. Funeral services to honor the life of Mr. Rhoden will be held at 11 A.M., Tuesday, January 23 in the Glen Friendship Tabernacle Church with Rev. Albert Starling and Rev. Tim Cheshire officiating. Visitation and gathering with the family will be from 6 to 8 P.M., Monday, January 22 in the Chapel of Guerry Funeral Home, U.S.90 E., Macclenny, FL.
