Mr. Harley Edwin “Gabby” Crews, age 74, of Baldwin, Florida died Wednesday, March 28, in the Orange Park Medical Center, Orange Park, Florida following an extended illness. Mr. Crews had lived in Baldwin, Florida all of his life and was employed as a switchman/conductor with the CSX Railroad, Baldwin, Florida for 36 years until his retirement in 2002. He was a member of the United Transportation Union, Jacksonville, Florida and enjoyed hunting and working on his farm. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Diane L. Crews of Baldwin, Florida: Two sons, Harley E. Crews, Jr and Jonathan W. Crews both of Baldwin, Florida. A funeral service to honor the life of Mr. Crews will be held at 1 P.M. Saturday, March 31, in the Baldwin Church of God, Baldwin, Florida with Rev. Johnny Wayne Anderson, Pastor, officiating. Interment will be in Boone’s Creek Cemetery, St. George, Georgia. Visitation and gathering with the family will be from 6 to 8 P.M. Friday, March 30, at the Baldwin Church of God.
