Jacqueline "Jackie" Frances Mitchell

Mrs. Jacqueline "Jackie" Frances Mitchell, age 79, of Lake City, Florida died Thursday, November 9, in the Shands University of Florida Medical Center in Gainesville, Florida following an extended illness. She resided in Lake City, Florida all of her life and worked as a food service manager with the S&S Food Stores for 25 years until her retirement. She was a member of Lake City Church of God and enjoyed reading, cooking, gardening, and her animals. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jackson Alexander and Frances Josephine Hawkins Davis and her brother, James Davis.

She is survived by her daughter, Lisa Hobbs Cowart of Lake City, Florida: Two sons, David Hobbs and Randy Hobbs Horton both of Lake City, Florida: one sister, Patricia (James) Carpenter of Marion, Arkansas: Five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren also survive.

A funeral service to honor the life of Mrs. Mitchell will be held at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, November 14, in the Chapel of Guerry Funeral Home with Rev. Clayton McCormick of Pensacola, Florida officiating. Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery, White Springs, FL. The family will receive friends from 1:00P.M. to 2:00P.M. Tuesday at the funeral home. GUERRY FUNERAL HOME of Lake City is in charge of arrangements.
