Joey "Bubba" Michael Rhoden, Jr.

Mr. Joey "Bubba" Michael Rhoden, Jr., age 18, of Hilliard, Florida passed away on Thursday, December 6, at his residence. Joey was born on October 26, 2000 in Waycross, Georgia to Joey Michael Rhoden, Sr. and Crystal Howard Rhoden. He was raised in St. George, Georgia for 15 years before moving to Hilliard, Florida three years ago. Bubba was a student in the 11th grade at West Nassau High School, Callahan, Florida and a member of the St. George Church of God, St. George, Georgia. Joey was known as gentle giant who enjoyed fishing, hunting and working on things. He was loved by everyone he met. He enjoyed life and will be deeply missed by his family and all his friends. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Virgil O. Rhoden and by his maternal grandparents, Jack Long and Blanche Long.
Bubba is survived by his parents, Joey and Crystal Rhoden, Sr. of Hilliard, Florida; One sister, Brittany (Derrin Batton) Howard of Hilliard, Florida; One brother, Reed Oliver Rhoden of Hilliard, Florida; Paternal grandmother, Jo Anne (Mackie) McDuffie of Macclenny, Florida; Maternal grandmother, Rosa Howard of St. George, Georgia: Maternal grandfather, Norris Howard of St. George, Georgia; Maternal great-grandmother, Sarah Howard of St. George, Georgia; Maternal great-grandmother, Gerry Eastwood of Savannah, Georgia.
A funeral service to honor the life Bubba will be held at 11 A.M. Tuesday, Dec. 11, in the St. George Church of God with Reverend Grady Allbritton, Pastor, officiating. Interment will be in Emmaus Church Cemetery, St. George, Georgia. Visitation and gathering with the family will be from 6 to 8 P.M. Monday, Dec. 10, at the church. GUERRY FUNERAL HOME, U.S. 90 East, Macclenny, Florida is in charge of arrangements.
