John William Keene

Mr. John William Keene, age 51, of Glen St. Mary, Florida, passed away on June 10, 2018. He was born in Houston, Texas on December 31, 1966 to Harley Keene, Sr. and Sally Annie Mae Hindman. John lived most his life in the Jacksonville, Florida area and worked as a land surveyor. In his time off, John loved to go fishing, especially salt water fishing on the Gulf. He enjoyed being outside and built a passion for planting and gardening.  He also enjoyed watching NASCAR especially his favorite driver Mark Martin. He was always having a good time, telling jokes, and would crack himself up the hardest. Most importantly, he loved his family. He was a loving father, son, brother, and uncle. He is preceded in death by his father, Harley Wilson Keene, Sr.

John is survived by his daughter, Sara Ann Keene of Macclenny, FL; mother, Sally Annie Mae Alyea of Glen St. Mary, FL; brother, Harley Keene, Jr. of Glen St. Mary, FL; sister, Cindy (Ricky) Jenkins of Glen St. Mary, FL; nephew, Jeremy Jenkins of Macclenny, FL;  niece, Jessie Jenkins of Macclenny, FL; great-niece, Macey Jenkins of Macclenny, FL; Kindall Kindon of Jacksonville, FL and other numerous cousins and family members also survive.

A funeral service to honor the life of Mr. Keene will be held on Monday, June 18, at 6:00 PM in the Chapel at Guerry Funeral Home. Mr. Curley Wheeler will be officiating the service. Friends are invited to gather for a visitation at 5:00 PM (one hour before service) at the funeral home.
