Mr. John Charles Vining, age 47, of Starke, Florida died Tuesday, June 26, at his residence following a long illness. Mr. Vining was born in Jacksonville, Florida and lived in Macclenny and Fernandina Beach, Florida before moving to Starke, Florida in 1998. He was a former employee of Gilman Wood Products, Lake Butler, Florida. He was a member of the Northside Baptist Church, Starke, Florida and in his spare time enjoyed fishing, hunting and riding with his family. He is survived by his parents, D.L. and Cathy Vining, Sr. of Starke, Florida: One sister, Rhoda Fernandez of Glen St. Mary, Florida: one brother, David L. Vining, Jr. of Fernandina Beach, Florida: six nieces and nephews and one great-niece also survive. A funeral service to honor the life of Mr. Vining will be held at 11 A.M. Friday, June 29, in the Northside Baptist Church, Starke, Florida with Rev. Larry Finley, Pastor of the First Baptist Church, St. George, Georgia, officiating and assisted by Rev. Toby Roehm, Pastor of Northside Baptist Church. Interment will be in Brandy Branch Cemetery, Bryceville, Florida. Visitation and gathering with the family will be from 9:30 to 10:30 A.M.
