To the Deya Families:
My heart is saddened and I am still in shock over the passing of Mr. Deya. We're parents at the Greenwood School and Mr. Deya was very helpful with the processing the funding for our son's tuition. He will be greatly missed. May God strengthen each of you. Please know that earth has no sorrow, that heaven cannot heal.

Que brille para nuestro hermano la Luz Perpetua de Nuestro Señor.
Our brother Juan Antonio was a kind, jovial soul and will be dearly missed. He always made the best with the circumstances afforded, our humble childhood playtimes included plenty of outdoors, nature walks and enjoying Our Lord's creation. We had so much fun going to the remote places of our ancestors, Maricao, Puerto Rico. We would chase grasshoppers, hunt lizards, construct makeshift tools and eventually 'graduated' to building ramps and rails to enjoy activities such as skateboarding together. His brother Guillermo a.k.a. Guillin and him were inseparable and consummate best friends. Juan was an exemplary boy-scout, again nurturing his affection for the earth and outdoors. He was always diligent and responsible, while most of us slept in he would rise at the dawn and deliver his paper route daily. He had many distinguished work performances before his service to our nation and his career as an accountant. We worked for the Puerto Rico government in the development of a national correctional organization database at the infancy of the technological and internet age. The department sorely missed Juan when he moved on from that trade.
Juan Antonio's kindness and loyalty will always be remembered. Our sincere condolences to his wife, ex-wife, children, sister, mother and everyone else.
It was a privilege and an honor to grow up with you, Juan Antonio. We are sad now and we will miss you... but we are comforted in the thought that you have rejoined your brother and are basking in Our Lord's light.
Que descanses en paz,
Pabon Arroyo family- Jose L., Naida, etc.

I share my heartfelt condolences with Juan’s family and friends over our tragic loss. I will always admire the energy, dedication, comradery, and intelligence Juan shared so selflessly during our time together in the Guard. He was truly a special person. May he rest in peace and we all find some solace in his friendship and the sacrifices and contributions he made to his country, his family, and his community. Roger A. Burkett LTC (ret) FLANG

Dear Rebecca & Family
I am very sorry to hear about your loss. Juan was a wonderful person... he was the best co-worker, friend, and mentor. Juan was like a brother to me. I won't forget our friendly competition... from unpractical jokes to who created the best automation tools to balance our budgets... of course he always won! We will miss Juan, and we will cherish all the happy memories we had with him. Please accept our sincere condolences. May he rest in peace.
