Mrs. Martha Jean “Aunt Mott” Goodwin, age 82, of Fort White, Florida died Wednesday, Aug. 8, in the Suwannee Valley Care Center, Lake City, Florida following an extended illness. She was born in McRae, Georgia and lived in Polk county, Florida before moving to Lake City, Florida in 1991. She worked many years in the citrus industry in south Florida. She was of the Baptist faith and loved to fish, work in her yard and was a very independent lady. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hilson Goodwin. She is survived by her niece, Wendy White of Fort White, Florida. The burial service will be conducted at 12:30 P.M. Thursday, Aug. 16, in the Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, Florida. GUERRY FUNERAL HOME, 2659 S.W. Main Blvd., Lake City, Florida is in charge of arrangements.
