Mildred Prevatt Obituary

Mrs. Mildred R. Prevatt, age 92 of Macclenny, FL passed away Tuesday, December 24 in the St. Vincent’s Riverside Hospice, Jacksonville, FL following an extended illness. Mrs. Prevatt was born in Baker County, FL and remained a lifelong resident of Macclenny, FL. She was a food service provider for the Baker County School System for over 30 years before her retirement. Mrs. Prevatt enjoyed visiting the Council on Aging and liked to play bingo. She loved her family and cherished the time she spent with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Mrs. Prevatt is preceded in death by her parents, Jake and Lucinda Brown Raulerson, and her late husband, Roy Prevatt and son, William Morgan Prevatt. She is survived by her two daughters, Mildred Diane Prevatt of Jacksonville, FL and Patricia Anderson (Robert) of Macclenny, FL: three grandchildren, Shonn Prevatt, Robert Koon (Amy) and Amie Hernandez (Gus). Six great grandchildren, Karter, Carson, Connley, and Cade Koon, Morgan and Colby Smith, also survive. Funeral services to honor the life of Mrs. Prevatt will be held on Thursday, January 2 at 11 A.M., in the Chapel of Guerry Funeral Home with Elder David Crawford, Pastor of the Macclenny Primitive Baptist Church, officiating. Visitation and gathering with the family will be from 10 to 11 A.M. (one hour before services) at the funeral home. Interment will immediately follow the funeral services in North Prong Cemetery, Baxter, FL. Guerry Funeral Home, U.S. 90 E., has been entrusted with the funeral arrangements.
