Mrs. Peggy Joyce Rife, age 77, of Macclenny, Florida died Friday, Jan. 26, in the St. Vincent's Riverside Medical Center, Jacksonville, Florida following an extended illness. She was born in Williamson, West Virginia and resided there until moving to Macclenny, Florida in 1985. She was a homemaker and faithful member of the Salvation Army in Williamson, W.V. and enjoyed taking care of her family. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Forrester Rife, her daughter, Dreama Lee McCoy and her parents, Floyd and Maurel Skeens Grimmett.
She is survived by five children, William F. Rife, Jr, Brian R. (Beverly) Rife, Michelle Rife and Peggy R. Staten all of Macclenny, Florida and Sheila M. Rife of Talladega, Alabama: Three brothers, William Gene Grimmett of Lenore, W.V., Donald Grimmett and Dale Grimmett both of Dingess, W.V. Eleven grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren also survive. A funeral service to honor the life of Mrs. Rife will be held at 3 P.M. Wednesday, Jan. 31, in the Chapel of Guerry Funeral with Rev. Donnie Williams, Pastor of Calvary Baptist Church, officiating.
