Mr. Robert “Wayne” Lewis, age 58, of Macclenny, Florida, passed away peacefully on October 3, at St. Vincent’s Riverside Hospital in Jacksonville, Florida. Wayne was born on May 30, 1960, to Woodrow and Reva Robbins Lewis. He was the oldest of three boys. After school, Wayne married Anna Driggers and they started a family. He worked as a dispatcher for Alterman Transport Lines for 25 years out of Jacksonville, Florida, and Davis Trucking for 10 years out of Starke, Florida. Wayne loved sports and spending all his time at the ball field with his boys. He also loved the University of Florida and was an avid Gator fan.
Wayne is survived by his wife and best friend of 38 years, Anna Driggers Lewis of Jacksonville, FL; their three sons, Joshua Aaron Dyal; grandchildren Jada and Logan of Jacksonville, FL, Woodrow “Woody” Wayne (Kimberly) Lewis; grandchildren Tyler and Alexis of Palm Beach Gardens, FL, and Adam Wayne (Kalyn Sturm) Lewis of Jacksonville, FL; his dear dog Bo and brothers Woodrow Early and Wesley Harold.
In Lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial gifts be designated to “Brain Donation Program” at Mayo Clinic. Gifts can be mailed directly to Mayo Clinic, Department of Development, 4500 San Pablo Road, Jacksonville, FL 32224.

A Celebration of Wayne’s life will be held on Saturday, October 13, at 11:00AM, at the Sanderson Congregational Holiness Church, 8443 Co Road 127, Sanderson, FL, 32087, with Pastor Justin Griffis officiating the service.
