Mrs. Sarah Louisa Jordan, age 91, of Lake City, Florida died Wednesday, Aug. 8, in the Solaris Healthcare Nursing Center, Palatka, Florida following a long illness. Mrs. Jordan was born in Arcadia, Florida and resided in Orlando and White Springs, Florida before moving to Lake City, Florida. She was a homemaker and worked with her husband in the family business in White Springs, Florida for many years and was a former church secretary with her local congregation. She was a member of the Bethlehem Baptist Church, Lake City, Florida and enjoyed reading, working in her gardening and fishing with her husband. She was preceded in death by her husband, Abner W. Jordan and her son, Billy Jordan of LaBelle, Florida. She is survived by her daughter, Bonnie Flippin of Bostwick, Florida and her son, Jimmie Jordan of Houma, Louisiana: Two nieces, Betty Jean Daughtry of Lake City, Florida and Faye Mullins of Perry, Georgia. A funeral service to honor the life of Mrs. Jordan will be held at 11 A.M. Wednesday, Aug, 15, in the Chapel of Guerry Funeral Home with Rev. Lowell O’Steen and Rev. Travis Kimbrell officiating. Interment will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens, Lake City, Florida. Visitation and gathering with the family will be from 10:30 to 11 A.M. Wednesday before services at the funeral home. Donations to the Bethlehem Baptist Church, Lake City, Florida or Gideon’s International are suggested, in lieu of flowers.
