Shirley Jane Barton

Mrs. Shirley Jane Barton, age 68, of Macclenny, Florida died Friday, Nov. 24, in the St. Vincent’s Riverside Hospice, Jacksonville, Florida following an extended illness.  She was born in Jacksonville, Florida and had resided in Macclenny, Florida for over 50 years. She worked for many years as a certified nursing assistant with the Northeast Florida State Hospital and Macclenny Nursing & Rehab Center, Macclenny, Florida. She enjoyed her family, fishing and camping in her spare time. She was preceded in death by her parents, Dewey E. and Stella Mae Gooden Binion.  She is survived by her husband, Wilton “Bobby” Barton of Macclenny, Florida:  one daughter, Peggy Sue Barton of Macclenny, Florida: Three sons, Donald Ray (Wanda) Barton of Sanderson, Florida, Robert Darren (Pamela) Barton of Keystone Heights, Florida and Justin Matthew Barton of Macclenny, Florida: one sister, Betty Jean Taylor of Glen St. Mary, Florida: one brother, John Ernest Binion of Williston, Florida: Eleven grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren also survive.  Graveside funeral services will be conducted at 1 P.M. Monday, Nov. 27, in Macedonia Cemetery, Baker County, Florida with Rev. Joe Raulerson officiating.
