Sue Sandlin Obituary

Mrs. Sue Fayola Sandlin, age 76, of Maggie Valley, North Carolina died Tuesday, Aug. 14, in the Homestead Health Care Facility, Clyde, N.C. following an extended illness. Mrs. Sandlin was born in Franklin, N.C.  and resided in Waynesville,  N. C. before moving to Lake City and Branford, Florida.  She worked in the medical field in Lake City as a x-ray technician and also as a merchandise manager at Ghost Town in the Sky, North Carolina for many years. She was a wonderful mother/grandmother and an avid member of The Church of Jesus Crist of Latter Day Saints. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Ralph Sandlin, Jr. and her parents, Clyde E. and Esta D. Hughes.  She is survived by three children, Pamela S. Sutton, Brian K. Sandlin and Willian Christopher Rice: one grandson, Dusty Justice: four great-grandsons, Cash, Levi, Jacob and David. A funeral service to honor the life of Mrs. Sandlin will be held at 11 A.M. Monday, Aug. 20, in the Chapel of Guerry Funeral Home with Bishop Richie Miles of the Branford Ward of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints officiating. Interment will be in Oak Lawn Cemetery, Lake City, Florida. Visitation and gathering with the family will be from 10 to 11 A.M. Monday (One hour before services) at GUERRY FUNERAL HOME, 2659 S.W. Main Blvd, Lake City, Florida
