Mr. Thomas “Tommy” Wesley Bunn, Jr., age 68, of Baldwin, Florida died Monday, Jan. 28, in the Baptist Medical Center Downtown, Jacksonville, Florida following an extended illness. Mr. Bunn was born in Wadesboro, North Carolina and resided in Georgia and Macclenny, Florida before moving to Baldwin, Florida in 1963. He worked as a meat butcher with various food stores, Lewis Business Forms, Winn Dixie, JSO and most recently with Spires IGA Food Stores. in Lake Butler, Florida. He was a graduate of Baldwin High School, a member of the Baldwin First United Methodist Church, Baldwin Masonic Lodge #217 F & AM. Prior to his illness, Mr. Bunn was an active member at his church and was Director of the Baldwin Baseball Association. He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Wesley and Nezzie Rosetta Baker Bunn, Sr. and a sister, Mitzi Smith. He is survived by his high school sweet heart of 48 years, Gwendolyn “Gwen” Keene Bunn of Baldwin, Florida: Two daughters, Stephanie Bunn of Baldwin, Florida and Kimberly (Kenneth) Browning of Bryceville, Florida: One son, Richard (Sherry) Bunn of Green Cove Springs, Florida: One sister, Deborah Whitty of Baldwin, Florida: One brother, Jerry Bunn of Ridge Manor, Florida: Five grandchildren, Camden Davis, Chloe Bunn, Chloe Davis, Trevor Browning and Makayla Browning. A funeral service to honor the life of Mr. Bunn will be held at 11 A.M. Friday, Feb. 1, in the Baldwin First United Methodist Church with Rev. John Frank, Pastor, assisted by Rev. Nick Thompson, officiating. Masonic graveside rites will be recited at Brandy Branch Cemetery, Nassau County, Florida. Visitation and gathering with the family will be from 6 to 8 P.M.
