Mr. William Edward Beason, age 72, of Jacksonville, Florida died Friday, June 8, at his residence following an extended illness. He was born in Huntsville, Alabama and had resided in Macclenny, Florida before moving to Jacksonville, Florida. He was self employed and owned Beason’s Services of Jacksonville, Florida for over 40 years which completed custom home repairs and construction. He was the former owner of Macedonia Quick Shop Store, Macclenny, Florida and owner of the Little Snack Shack at the north jetties in Jacksonville Beach, Florida. He attended the Raiford Road Church, Macclenny, Florida, was a member of the Knabb Pasture Hunting Club, an Army veteran of the Vietnam War and enjoyed dancing, hunting, fishing and being with family and grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, William Dean and Robena F. Fesmire Beason. He is survived by four daughters, Kimberly (Ron) Beason Adkins of Jennings, Florida, Tammy Beason of Tampa, Florida, Robin (James Spears) B. Rein and Nicole (Ted) Janney both of Jacksonville, Florida: Three sons, William E. (Brittany) Banning, Scott Banning and Joshua Beason all of Jacksonville, Florida: One nephew raised as a son, Todd Brown of Jacksonville, Florida: Three sisters, June Adams, Julia Day and Peggy Wallace all of Jacksonville, Florida: Twenty-one grandchildren also survive. A funeral service to honor the life of Mr. Beason will be held at 11 A.M. Tuesday, June 12, in the Raiford Road Church with Rev. Johnnie Raulerson, Pastor, officiating and Mr. Wayne Rhoden speaking a eulogy for the family. Visitation and gathering with the family will be from 10 to 11 A.M. Tuesday (One hour before services). A graveside service will be held at 3 P.M. Tuesday in Lake Park Cemetery, Lake Park, Georgia. Guerry Funeral Home U.S. 90 East, Macclenny, Florida is in charge of arrangements.
