Mr. William Nicholas Cicero, Sr., age 90, of Lake City, Florida went to be with his wife, Elsie, on January 14, 2018. He was born in Staten Island, New York to the late Nicholas and Thelma Elizabeth Cicero. He graduated from McKee High School, Staten Island, N.Y. and then went into the U.S. Army and served in the European Theatre. He worked for the City of New York for many years and retired in 1983. At that time, “Bill” moved the family to Lake City, Florida where he enjoyed the country living. Mr. Cicero was of the Catholic faith and enjoyed spending time with his family by going fishing with his children on his boat “The Wee 4”. Bill also enjoyed surf fishing and hunting with his brothers, Nicholas and Anthony. Mr. Cicero loved to watch football with his special fried, Frank Loughran. Dad loved to have Christmas parties with the neighbors. He is survived by his children, Susanne Elizabeth, Georgette Dorothy Evans (Gary), Suzanne Marie and adopted daughter, Mary Catherine Loughran (Frank) and his son, William Nicholas, Jr. (Laura). He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. A funeral service to honor the life of Mr. Cicero will be held at 4 P.M. Tuesday, Jan. 16, in the Chapel of Guerry Funeral Home with Rev. Bryan Wilcox, Chaplain at Suwannee Valley Care Center, officiating. Final disposition will be by cremation.
