Mr. William Leslie Croft, Sr., age 97 of Jasper, FL passed away peacefully Tuesday, September 10 in the Surrey Place Care Center, Live Oak, FL. Mr. Croft was born in White Springs, FL to the late William C. and Malpha Brady Croft. He lived many years in Macclenny, FL before moving to Jasper, FL 14 years ago. Mr. Croft was enlisted in the Navy for 6 years, served in WW11 and spent 28 years working for the Civil Service at NAS Jax, before his retirement. He was a member of the Jasper Assembly of God Church and loved to fish. Mr. Croft also enjoyed gardening and spending time with his family. He is preceded in death by his parents, late wife, Rosa Croft, one daughter, Betty Jean Barlow, two brothers, Paul Croft and Myers Croft, and one sister, Betty Elizabeth Croft. Mr. Croft is survived by one son: William L. Croft, Jr. of Jasper, FL: one brother, George Croft (Clara) of Maxville, FL: one sister, Lilla Lyons of Macclenny, FL and two sister in laws, Anna Laura Croft of Jacksonville, FL and Margaret Croft of Macclenny, FL. Ten grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren also survive. Funeral services to honor the life of Mr. Croft will be held at 2 P.M., Saturday, September 14 in the Chapel of Guerry Funeral Home with Rev. Jason Love officiating.. Visitation and gathering with the family will be from 1 to 2 P.M. (one hour before services). Interment will follow the funeral services in Oak Grove Cemetery.
