Mr. William Joseph Robinson, age 72, of Lake City, Florida died Tuesday, Dec. 25, at his home following a brief illness. He had lived in Lake City all of his life and worked as a meat packer for Gold-Kist Packers, Live Oak, Florida for thirteen years before his retirement. He attended the Lake City Church of God and enjoyed fishing, hunting and his church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Leon Jasper and Lellia Hester Robinson, siblings, Lavia Robinson Dees, Calvin Robinson, Roger Dale Robinson and Leon Robinson, Jr., his granddaughter, Cynthia Rachel Miller. He is survived by two daughters, Edna Darlene Cox of Augusta, Georgia and Melissa Weaver of Lake City, Florida: One son, William J. “Billy” Robinson, Jr. of Madison, Florida: Three sisters, Elizabeth (George) Feagle and Betty Ann Robinson both of Lake City, Florida and Margaret (Ronald) Emminger of Dallas, Georgia: One brother, Mack (Terry) Robinson of Mayo, Florida: Ten grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren also survive. A memorial service for Mr. Robinson will be held at 10:30 A.M. Friday, Dec. 28, in the Lake City Church of God with Rev. Carl Thomas and Rev. Dennis McMillan officiating.
