Ms. Wilma Roberson, age 92, of Maxville, FL passed away Saturday, August 24 in the Franks Wells Nursing Home, Macclenny, FL after a prolonged illness. Ms. Roberson was born in St. George, GA to the late Grover and Victoria Crawford Hodges and married the love of her life, John O. Roberson, on June 23, 1944. She worked as a school bus driver for the Duval County Public School System for many years until her retirement. Ms. Roberson was a member of the First Coast Baptist Church, Jacksonville, FL and loved her Sunday school class, The Pace Setters. She loved to travel with the Pace Setters, and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Ms. Roberson also liked to play Dominos and card games, which she did once a week with her daughters and other family memebers. She is preceded in death by her parents, her late husband, three brothers and three sisters. Ms. Roberson is survived by one son, Larry O. Roberson (Dorthy) of Jacksonville, FL: two daughters, Cynthia Joos (George) of Maxville, FL and Joe Ann Roberts (Don) of Maxville, FL: one sister, Myrtle Clary of Keystone, FL. Five grandchildren, six great grandchildren and three great -great grandchildren also survive. Funeral services to honor the life of Ms. Roberson will be held at 11 A.M., Thursday, August 29 in the Chapel of Guerry Funeral Home with Dr. Rick Crews officiating. Visitation and gathering with the family will be from 10 to 11 A.M. ( one hour before services). Interment will follow the funeral services in Emmaus Cemetery, St. George, GA.
