Mrs. Anabelle Burnham, age 78, of Lake City, Florida died Sunday, March 20, in Solaris Healthcare, Lake City, Florida following an extended illness. Mrs. Burnham was born in Bonita Springs, Florida and resided in Jasper and White Springs, Fla. before moving to Lake City, Florida 55 years ago. She was employed as a correctional officer with the Columbia County Sheriff’s Department for over 15 years at the Columbia county jail. She loved traveling to many countries and playing cards with her friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Otis and Doris Bennett Burnham, her sister, Ethel Oxendine and two brothers, Charles and Jerry Burnham. She is survived by her daughter, Marshanna (Walter) Henck of Lake City, Florida; one sister, Linda Cason of Jasper, Florida: one grandson, Walt Henck, her pride and joy; numerous cousins, nieces and nephews also survive. A graveside funeral service to honor the life Mrs. Burnham will be held at 11 A.M. Thursday, March 24, in Evergreen Cemetery, Jasper, Florida with Rev. Randy Ogburn, Pastor of Watertown Congregational Methodist Church, officiating. Visitation and gathering with the family will be from 5 to 7 P.M. Wednesday, March 23, at GUERRY FUNERAL HOME, 2659 S.W. Main Blvd, Lake City, Florida.
