Anna Jane Piatt Tharpe

Anna Jane Piatt Tharpe, age 92, of Macclenny, FL, went to be with her Heavenly Father on Wednesday, March 20, 2024.  Ms. Ann was born in Saint Petersburg, FL on March 19, 1932 before relocating to Baker County where she lived the majority of her life.  Ms. Ann was truly a Proverbs 31 woman– faithfully serving the Lord, her family and her community all of her life.  She was a founding member of Glen Church of Christ.  Throughout her life, Ms. Ann discipled many, served meals, visited the sick and brought many to Christ.  She prayed daily for every member of her family and friends.  Ms. Ann was a dedicated homemaker.  She was a volunteer for many organizations including PTA, Cub Scouts and various school activities.  She enjoyed gardening, shopping trips, decorating her home and making all who visited feel welcome.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Beatrice Milton Piatt and Clyde Alvin Piatt; her siblings, Alvin “Buddy” Piatt, Fay Davis, Judy Greene; and her grandson, Will Alexander.  Ms. Ann is survived by her children Curt Tharpe (Carol) of Macclenny, FL, Deanne Keeling (Kevin) of Williston, FL, and Cindy Tomas (Jorge) of Glen Saint Mary, FL.  She is also survived by her eight grandchildren:  Richie Tharpe (Felicia), Kinsey Keeling, Ashley Gonzalez (Brandon), Kandace Frasier (Zach), Klint Keeling (Autumn), Brittney McCauley (Jonathan), Ana Barr (Austin), and Elena Tomas; her eleven great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.  

A funeral service to celebrate her life will be held at 11:00 on Wednesday, March 27th at Glen Church located at 7556 Aunt Mary Harvey Road, Glen Saint Mary, Florida with Franklin Griffis officiating.  Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.  Internment will follow the funeral service at Woodlawn Cemetery, Macclenny, Florida.
