Mrs. Betty Jean Wiggins, age 80, of Glen St. Mary, Florida died Thursday, March 3, at her home with her family beside her following an extended illness. She was born in Brantley, Alabama and had resided in Baker County for the past 74 years. She worked with the food service department at Baker County School Systems schools for over 27 years until her retirement. She was a member of the First Baptist Church, Macclenny, Florida and enjoyed quilting, crocheting, yard work and her family very much. She was preceded in death by her husband, John O. Wiggins, daughter, Donna Messer, her son, Larry Wiggins, her great grandsons, James Wiggins and Ricky Wiggins, her great-granddaughter, Chrissy Wiggins and her parents, J.D. and Pearl Williams Jackson. She is survived by three daughters, Sharon Adams and Bonnie Hall both of Glen St. Mary, Fla. and Mona Walker of Macclenny, Florida; special granddaughter, Amber Crawford of Macclenny, Fla. and 10 other grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren; Three sisters, Evelyn Callahan of North Carolina and Juanita Jacobs and Judy Sweat both of Alabama; two brothers, John (Carolyn) Jackson of Jacksonville, Florida and Andy Jacobs of Arkansas. A graveside funeral service to honor the life of Mrs. Wiggins will be held at 11 A.M. Monday, March 7, in the Macedonia Cemetery, Baker County, Florida with Mr. Travis Jay speaking a eulogy for Mrs. Wiggins.
