Mr. Billy Hiram “Bill” Wallin, age 85, of Lake City, Florida passed away Sunday, July 31, at his home following an extended illness. Mr. Wallin was born in Rising Fawn, Georgia and resided in Fort Myers, Florida before moving to Lake City, Florida in 1993. He was a bee keeper for many years in Ft. Myers, Florida and worked as a heavy equipment operator for Lenvil Dicks Realty, Lake City, Florida for over 14 years. He was a member of the Abundant Life Church, Lake City, Florida and enjoyed camping with his family. He was preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Minnie Lee Wallin, his parents, Lon and Nellie Forester Wallin. He is survived by two daughters, Tracy (Andrew) Boemig of Franklin, North Carolina and Susan Pittman of Lake City, Florida; one son, Danny (Catherine) Wallin of Leesburg, Florida; one brother, Cecil (Joan) Wallin of Ft. Myers, Florida; seven grandchildren, Shauna, Anthony (Amber), Zachary, Andrew, Bryce, Justin and Brandon; Six great-grandchildren also survive. A funeral service to honor the life of Mr. Wallin will be held at 3 P.M. Saturday, Aug. 6, in the Abundant Life Church with Pastor Cagney Tanner officiating. Visitation and gathering with the family will be from 1 to 3 P.M. Saturday (Two hours before services) in the church. Interment will be in Oak Grove Cemetery, Columbia County, Florida.
