Brigitte Johnson

Mrs. Brigitte Johnson, age 70, of Glen St. Mary, FL, went to be with her Lord and Savior on October 8, 2018. She was born in Stuttgart, Germany, to Christian Noll and Elfreide Bliestle Noll. As a teenager in Germany, she met the love of her life, a United States Army soldier, William “Les” Johnson. They married and moved back to Baker County. She worked in customer service most of her life but her real job was at home. Raising a family, cooking, baking, and doing yard work were some of the things Mrs. Brigitte loved to do. Most of all, she loved Jesus Christ and was an active member at Raiford Road Church. She was preceded in death by her son, Robert Christian Johnson, and her sister, Christa Richter.

Mrs. Brigitte is survived by her husband of 54 years, William “Les” Johnson of Glen St. Mary, FL; son, James (Cristy) Johnson; two daughters, Diana Johnson of Macclenny, FL and Marsha Johnson of Glen St. Mary, FL; 12 grandchildren and a number of great grandchildren; her sister, Heidi, and brother, Norbert, both of Germany. Numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive.

A funeral service to honor Mrs. Brigitte will be held on Friday, October 12, at 5:00 pm, at Raiford Roach Church in Macclenny. The family will receive friends for a visitation beginning at 4:00 pm (one hour before services). Her interment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery. Reverend John A.
