Mr. Carl Clifton Yost, age 88, of Glen St. Mary, Florida passed away in Ed Fraser Memorial Hospital, Macclenny, Florida following an extended illness. Mr. Yost was born in Richmond, West Virginia, lived in Jacksonville, Florida and then moved to Glen St. Mary, Florida in 1978. He worked for Farm Best Dairy, Jacksonville, Florida for many years and most recently worked as an independent contractor with Frito-Lay Company in the North Florida area. He was a member of the Sanderson Congregational Holiness Church and enjoyed playing the banjo with blue grass music and going to the mountains with his family. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred Elizabeth Clark Yost and his son, Richard Yost. He is survived by two daughters, Connie (Henry) Thornton of Starke, Florida and Heather (Paul) Thompson of Glen St. Mary, Florida; two sons, Carl D. Yost of Jacksonville, Florida and Chris (Teresa) Yost of Macclenny, Florida; a daughter-in-law, Chana Yost of Jacksonville, Florida; Six grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren also survive. A funeral service to honor the life of Mr. Yost will be held at 12 P.M. Monday, Jan. 30, in the Sanderson Congregational Holiness Church with Rev. Oral Lyons, Pastor, officiating and assisted by Rev. Justin Griffis. Interment will be in South Prong Cemetery, Sanderson, Florida. Visitation and gathering with the family will be from 11 A.M. to 12 P.M. (One hour before services) at the church.
