Catherine Vining

Mrs. Catherine Clair Vining, age 80, of Starke, FL passed away Wednesday, October 13th in the Haven Hospice, Orange Park, FL following an extended illness. Mrs. Vining was born in Jacksonville, FL to the late William and Mardie Thrower Lane. She lived in Yulee, FL for many years until relocating to Starke, FL over 20 years ago. Mrs. Vining was a member of the Northside Baptist Church, Starke, FL and loved spending time with her family, hunting and fishing. She is preceded in death by her parents, and son, John Charles Vining. Mrs. Vining is survived by her loving husband, David Vining: one son, David L. Vining, Jr. (Amy) of Fernandina Beach, FL: one daughter, Rhoda C. Fernandez (Damon) of Glen St. Mary, FL: two brothers, Marion Lane of Jacksonville, FL and James Lane of Macclenny, FL: six grandchildren, Abby, Emily and Matthew Vining and Brianna, Gydeon and Reagan Fernandez. One great grandchild, Lilleigh Doyle, also survives. A funeral service to honor the life of Mrs. Vining will be held at 11 A.M., Saturday, October 16th in the Northside Baptist Church, Starke, FL with Rev. Larry Finley officiating. Visitation and gathering with the family will be from 10 to 11 A.M. (one hour before the service) at the church. Interment will follow the funeral service in Brandy Branch Cemetery.
