Mr. Charlie A. Perry, age 77 of Glen St. Mary, FL passed away Thursday, November 5th, in the Memorial Health University Medical Center, Savannah, GA after a long illness. Mr. Perry lived in Jacksonville, FL for several years before moving to Baker County, FL over 20 years ago. He served in the United States Army as a Green Beret for several years and was a jack of all trades. Mr. Perry was a certified welder, truck driver, and mechanic. He was an avid knife and gun collector, loved gardening and being with his family! He is preceded in death by his late wife, Iva Jean Walker, father, Jacob Dee Perry, mother, Mary Aileen Scott, children, Charlie and Randy Perry, and brothers, Grady and Jimmy Perry. Mr. Perry is survived by his son, Michael Perry of Macclenny, FL: daughters, Donna Featherston of St. George, GA, Tina Wages (Gerald) of Glen St. Mary, FL, Darlene Simpson (Buddy) of St. George, GA: brothers, Henry (Vickie) Perry and Skippy (Jeanie) Perry, both of Nahunta, GA: sisters, Francis (Bob) Davis of Macclenny, FL, Shelia Westcott of Savannah, GA and Joyce (Jim) Yancey of Jacksonville, FL. Fourteen grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren also survive. Funeral services to honor the life of Mr. Perry will be held at 1 P.M., Monday, November 9th in the First Assembly of God, Macclenny, FL with Pastor Joshua Potts, officiating. Visitation and gathering with the family will be from 12 to 1 P.M. (one hour before services at the church). Interment will follow the funeral services in Macedonia Cemetery, Macclenny, FL.
