Cheryl Elaine Jordan

Mrs. Cheryl Elaine Jordan, age 61, of Macclenny, Florida passed away on June 13, 2018 at Macclenny Nursing and Rehab after an extended battle with diabetes. Mrs. Jordan was born on August 19, 1956 in Charleston, South Carolina to Joe Pearce and Charlotte Fulks Pearce. She married John “Pee Wee” Henry Jordan and they moved to Macclenny, Florida in 1983 where she worked as a Homemaker. Pee Wee and her loved antique car shows and would travel to see them. She also enjoyed the beach and you could always find her singing a tune. She was always a jubilant spirit and pleasure to be around. Her family was the most important thing in her life. She had a genuine heart of compassion and was a constant source of strength and encouragement to all who knew her. The love she showered upon others is reflected back in the outpouring of love her friends and loved ones have shown during this time of loss. She will be greatly missed.  She was preceded in death by her mother, Charlotte Fulks and grandson, Zacharia “Zack” Jordan.

Mrs. Jordan is survived by her husband of 41 years, John “Pee Wee” Henry Jordan of Macclenny, FL; sons, Shane (Soledad) Jordan of Orange Park, FL and John Earl Jordan of Jacksonville,FL; daughters, Lynn Vollick of Orange Park, FL and Tammi (Kelly) Buirge of Mandarin, FL; her father, Joe Pearce; and brother Earl (Mari Lou) Pearce of Fayetteville, NC. Twelve grandchildren; Angel Prescott, Jessica Vollick, David Bowers, John “Scooter”, Chirstopher, Ethan, and Nathan Jordan, Rachael Smith, Jacob and Nathan Peterson, and Andrew and Parker Jordan; six great-grandchildren, Kenlyn Prescott, Presley Smith, Ava Smith, Avery and Zacharia Jordan, Jr., and Aleia Jordan also survive.

A funeral service to honor Mrs. Jordan’s life with be held on Tuesday, June 19 at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Guerry Funeral Home with the Reverend Joel Griffis of Raiford Road Church officiating. Friends are welcomed to gather with the family for the visitation at 1:00 PM (one hour before services) at the funeral home. Her interment will be at Woodlawn Cemetery in Macclenny, FL.
