Clyde Crews Obituary

Mr. Clyde Wendell Crews, age 80, of Glen St. Mary, FL passed away Thursday, April 30 at his home following an extended illness. Mr. Crews was a lifelong resident of Baker County and worked as an engineer for the Florida Department of Transportation for over 35 years until his retirement in 1993. He was a member of the Manntown Congregational Holiness Church and loved farming, hunting, and fishing. Mr. Crews is preceded in death by his parents, David T. and Gertrude G. Ruis Crews and a  sister, Aline Kirkland. He is survived by one son, Wendell O. (Ruthia) Crews of Glen St. Mary, FL: one brother, Jack (Shirley) Crews of Glen St. Mary, FL:  and one sister, Betty Kirkland of Lake City, FL. Two grandchildren, Cody (Magen) Crews and Christy Crews and three great grandchildren, Cole Crews, Trip and Caden, also survive. A graveside service to honor the life of Mr. Crews will be held at 3 P.M., Friday, May 1 in the Macedonia Cemetery, Macclenny, FL with Rev. David Hodges, Pastor of Manntown Congregational Holiness Church, officiating. Guerry Funeral Home, US 90 E., Macclenny, FL has been entrusted with the funeral arrangements.
