Mrs. Darcey Yarbrough Credeur, age 98, of Houston, Texas died Wednesday, June 3, in the Golden Age Nursing Home, Welsh, Louisiana following an extended illness. She was born in the Taylor community of Baker County, Florida and resided in Gainesville, Fla. and San Diego, Ca. before moving to Houston, Texas in 1966. She was a homemaker and member of the Clay Road Baptist Church, Houston, Texas. She played basketball and graduated from the Taylor High School Class of 1937. She loved traveling in her R.V. as much as she could before her illness. She was preceded in death by her parents, David A. and Maggie Raulerson Yarbrough and her siblings, Roy Yarbrough, Nita Stanley, Lewis Yarbrough, Leo Yarbrough, John Yarbrough, Ed Yarbrough, Arty Yarbrough and Elna Rewis. She is survived by her husband, Stephen Credeur of Houston, Texas: Two step-sons, Kirk Credeur of Welsh, La. And Scott Credeur of Houston, Texas: four step-grandchildren, Stephanie Yancey, Derek Credeur, Kristen Credeur and Styles Credeur. A funeral service to honor the life of Mrs. Credeur will be held at 11 A.M. Friday, June 12, in the Chapel of Guerry Funeral Home, Macclenny, Florida with Elder David Crawford, Pastor of the Macclenny Primitive Baptist Church, officiating. Interment will be in the Taylor Cemetery, Taylor, Florida. Visitation and gathering with the family will be from 10 to 11 A.M.
