Debra Marcel Brown

Mrs. Debra Marcel Brown, age 67, of Lake City, Florida died Sunday, Sept. 12, in the Lake City Medical Center, Lake City, Florida following an extended illness.  Mrs. Brown had resided in Lake City, Florida all of her life and worked in various administration positions with the Columbia County School System for over 30 years until her retirement. She was a member of the Hopeful Baptist Church and an avid Gator fan. She enjoyed reading, traveling, her gardening, watching numerous television programs (The Walking Dead, NCIS, and Yellowstone) and especially being with her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Archie L. and Audrey Cason Brown and sister, Kathy Todd. She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Percy P. Brown of Lake City, Florida; her son, Archie (Jessica) Brown of Lake City, Florida: one sister, Wanda Olin of Lake City, Florida; two grandchildren, Dillon Lee Brown and Bryce Perry Brown; numerous extended family and friends also survive. A funeral service to honor the life of Mrs. Brown will be held at 3 P.M. Thursday, Sept. 16, in the Chapel of Guerry Funeral Home with Pastor Dale Tompkins of the Church on the Way officiating.
